Subject:    Mr. Farid Fuleihan

It is with sad regret that I inform you that Mr. Farid Amin Fuleihan passed away on November 08, 1999 in Detroit, Michigan.  The memorial service will be held in Orlando, Florida USA.

Mr. Farid Fuleihan received his Bachelor’s degree in 1929 from AUB.  He joined the Registrar’s office on July 1, 1929 and was the Registrar of the University from 1933 to 1974.  He served also as Director of Personnel from 1967 until his retirement on July 15, 1974.  He was awarded the order of the Cedars by the Lebanese Government, the Education Medal and al-Istiklal Medal first order by the Jordanian Government.

Mr. Fuleihan’s unselfish dedication to the University for 45 years has been outstanding.  He left an indelible mark on its history and character and on countless colleagues and students.  He enjoyed the respect and love of all who knew him and worked with him.

Mr. Fuleihan cherished the love of his family and leaves 4 sons.  Fuad, Samir, Nadim, Camille and their families.
